Creighton’s JayWalk Raises Money for Jesuit Middle School of Omaha

Creighton University wants you to JayWalk! The seventh annual Jaywalk to benefit the Jesuit Middle School of Omaha is Sept. 19 at Creighton University.

The 5 k walk/run is sponsored by the Creighton Student s Union in cooperation with Creighton University and Creighton Preparatory Student Council with all proceeds benefitting the Jesuit Middle School of Omaha. In the past six years Jaywalk has raised more than $50,000 allowing the Jesuit Middle School to make many necessary changes throughout the school as well as providing scholarships for young males of North Omaha, to attend the Jesuit Middle School.

The run begins at 8:30 a.m. and the walk at 8:45 a.m. in Deglman Circle at 24th and California Streets and ends at Morrison Soccer Stadium. A pancake feed and check presentation will take place at the stadium following the walk/run.

The Jesuit Middle School of Omaha offers young males of Omaha a quality education opportunity, encouraging them to claim ownership of their lives and develop themselves as responsible leaders. The training in this Catholic school includes three basics of traditional Jesuit education and prepares its graduates academically, socially and spiritually for acceptance into a college preparatory curriculum.
