Creighton University Political Science Professor Named Editor of International Journal
Creighton University political science professor Terry Clark, Ph.D., has been appointed editor of the Journal of Baltic Studies, an international, multidisciplinary journal dedicated to advancing knowledge about all aspects of the Baltic Sea Region's political, social, economic, and cultural life, past and present.
The board of directors of the Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies (AABS) appointed Clark, a specialist in comparative politics, for a three-year term, which will begin April 2010.
Clark is the director of Creighton's graduate program in international relations and manages the University's long-standing exchange with Vilnius University in Lithuania. The exchange, which has enjoyed the active support and involvement of the Omaha Lithuanian-American Community (OLAC), has brought almost 40 scholars to the United States to study and conduct research in comparative politics and international relations.
A prolific researcher, Clark has co-authored "Applying Fuzzy Mathematics to Formal Modeling in Comparative Politics," and Changing Attitudes toward Economic Reform during the Yeltsin Era. He is the author of Beyond Post-Communist Studies: Political Science and the New Democracies of Europe."
Clark earned a bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1973, a master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
