Creighton Alumni to Put Service into Action

Creighton University alumni will lend a helping hand in the Omaha community on Saturday, April 17, as they participate in the University’s 10th Annual “Spirit at Work: Creighton Alumni National Day of Service.”

This nation-wide event encourages Creighton alumni to put their spirits of service and compassion into action within their local communities as they demonstrate the Jesuit value of men and women for others.

Alumni in Omaha will volunteer from 8 a.m. to noon at Hannah’s Place, located at 2247 Poppleton Ave. Volunteers will assist the parishioners of Assumption-Guadalupe in refurbishing the facilities into artists’ studios, in an effort to continue to provide better art education in Omaha’s inner-city Catholic schools.

Volunteers will also assist with other handyman services including painting, grounds and building clean-up, and light demolition.

Volunteers can park adjacent to the building on the paved lot located on the northeast corner of 21st and Poppleton.

To RSVP visit or contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (402) 280-2222.

Creighton University is a Jesuit, Catholic university bridging health, law, business and the arts and sciences for a more just world.
