Arab-American Comedian Comes to Creighton
The Creighton Muslim Student Association (MSA) will host Arab-American comedian Dean Obeidallah for an evening of entertainment on Friday, April 16, from 7 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. at the Harper Center Hixson-Lied Auditorium on the Creighton campus.
The event is free to the Creighton community. The general public may purchase $10 tickets by contacting MSA moderator, Naser Alsharif, Pharm D., Ph.D., associate professor of pharmacy sciences, at nalshari@creighton.edu or at (402) 280-1857.
According to Alsharif, through the use of comedy, the MSA hopes to build bridges and dispel stereotypes within the Omaha community.
Dean, an award-winning Arab-American comedian who has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Axis of Evil” special, is the co-creator and co-producer of the New York Arab-American Comedy Festival. He is also co-creator of Comedy Central’s internet series “The Watch List,” and has appeared on “Comics Unleashed” with Byron Allen.
