Creighton Medical Faculty, Students Recognized with Annual Awards

Creighton University School of Medicine students have selected the winners of the 2010 Golden Apple Awards, given to Creighton faculty members and residents for excellence in teaching and dedication to patient care.

Drs. Tammy Wichman, Eric Peters, William Hunter and Kristen Drescher earned faculty Golden Apple awards from the classes of 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013, respectively. Drs. Anna Cook and Kyle Ulveling received resident Golden Apple awards from the classes of 2010 and 2011, respectively.

Receiving the Aesculapian Award, given to one medical student in each class annually for guidance and compassion as well as selfless service to the class, the community and the University, were Kashmir Singh (class of 2010), Patrick Horrigan (class of 2011), Andrew Kamien (class of 2012) and John Tan (class of 2013).

The awards were presented at the School of Medicine’s annual Golden Apple Banquet and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, May 1, at the Hilton Omaha.
