Accomplished Pianist to Perform at Creighton

Accomplished Pianist to Perform at Creighton

Creighton University piano instructor Momoro Ono, Ph.D., will perform at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18, on the Lied Education Center for the Arts Main Stage.

The event is free and open to the public. A reception in the lobby of the Lied Center will directly follow the concert.

Ono will perform pieces from Muczynski, Mozart, and Ravel. He will finish with George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.”

He began his music studies at the age of the four at the Bryn Mawr Conservatory and continued his studies at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. In 1977, Ono attended the Juilliard School on full scholarship.

Ono has performed as a soloist and in chamber music in Montreal, Scotland, Japan, Munich, and Italy. He has served on the music faculty of Creighton University since 2005.

This event is presented by the Creighton ‘s Asian World Center and the Department of Fine and Performing Arts.
