Creighton Named Best Value in U. S. News College Guide

Creighton University has been named a best value and is included on the “Great Deals at Great Schools” list of the U.S. News Ultimate College Guide 2011. The guidebook features data on more than 1,400 colleges and universities.

To determine which schools offer the best value, U.S. News and World Report relates a school’s academic quality, as indicated in the magazine’s annual “Best Colleges” ranking, to the net cost of attendance for a student receiving the average level of financial aid. According to this formula, the higher the quality and the lower the cost, the better the deal.

“Creighton is committed to providing the best education at an affordable price,” said the Rev. John. P. Schlegel, S.J., Creighton president. “We also encourage prospective students and their families to look beyond rankings and get to know the schools they are considering, so the institution matches a student’s academic, personal and spiritual needs.”
