Creighton’s 24th Bluejay Jamboree Set
The 24th annual Bluejay Jamboree – the dinner and auction event that is the Creighton University athletic department’s largest annual fundraiser – will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, in D.J. Sokol Arena inside the Wayne and Eileen Ryan Athletic Center on campus. The auction begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 7:00 p.m. The theme for this year’s event, chaired by Mike and Dana Meyer and honorary chairs Joe and Amy Moglia, is “When All the Pieces Fit.” Last year the event drew more than 550 people and generated more than $400,000.
The Jamboree is open to all Creighton alumni, fans and friends. The event features dinner and hundreds of silent and live auction items including a condo in Tobago, a Chicago Cubs dream package, golf and dinner with head men’s basketball coach, Greg McDermott, and a dinner for eight with Creighton University President the Rev. John P. Schlegel, S.J., artwork, vacation packages and much more.
Tickets for the 2010 event are $150 each, $300 for a couple or $1,500 for a table of 10. Attendees must register by October 25. Raffle tickets are available (three chances for $100) and three drawings ($1,000, $2,000 and the grand prize of $5,000) will be held the night of the event (raffle ticket purchasers do not need to be present to win).
You may participate in the Bluejay Jamboree virtually by participating in the E-Auction. The online auction began Oct. 6 and will close on Oct. 31. You may also register to attend the Jamboree and purchase merchandise online; both can be done at http://bluejayjamboree.creighton.edu.
