Creighton’s Danielson Elected Board Secretary to International Scholarship Organization

Creighton University’s Mary Ann Danielson, Ph. D., associate vice president for Academic Excellence and Assessment and a professor of Communication Studies, has been elected board secretary of the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISSOTL).

ISSOTL encourages scholarly work on teaching and learning within other scholarly societies, promotes cross-disciplinary conversation, facilitates the collaboration of international scholars and supports appropriate uses of the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Danielson came to Creighton in 1989 as associate director of Forensics. She served as department chair from 1997 to 2005. She was recognized with the College of Arts and Sciences’ Dean’s Award for service in 1993, for excellence in teaching in 1995 and for professional excellence/outstanding service in 2004.
