Calendar Featuring Rev. Doll Photos Wins National Award

A calendar featuring the photographs of Creighton Universityís Rev. Don Doll, S.J., holder of the Charles and Mary Heider Endowed Jesuit Faculty Chair, has received the Best Non-Profit Gold Award from the National Calendar Marketing Awards for 2011. The St. Augustine Indian Mission calendar displays Fr. Dollís photographs of Winnebago, Neb., schoolchildren in their native regalia. This is the second year the calendar has won the Gold Award in this category.

The calendars were designed by Pat Osborne of Mutual of Omaha. The calendars sell for $15, with proceeds supporting the work of St. Augustine Mission.

Fr. Doll has worked on the St. Augustine calendars for nine years and with native peoples for more than 40 years.

The National Calendar Awards are based on quality of photography and information presented, readability, originality of the calendar, complete execution of the calendar subject, and fulfillment of the category entered.
