An art exhibition titled “Portal” will be on display April 1-29 in the Lied Art Gallery of the Lied Educational Center for the Arts at Creighton University. The exhibition will feature the work of Bachelor of Fine Arts majors Shun-Sho Fong, Aubrey Inman and Kelly Stading. An opening reception for the artists will be held at 5:30 p.m., Friday April 1.
The gallery is open daily from 1-4 p.m.
Fong is a College of Arts and Sciences senior who is working to receive a BFA in studio art with an emphasis on sculpture and painting and a BA in journalism. She uses painting and sculpture to represent and potentially recreate the process of revelation between the spiritual and physical. Her body of work is based in personal observation, reflection and experience.
Inman is a College of Arts and Sciences senior working to receive a BFA in studio art with an emphasis on graphic design. Her work for this exhibition utilizes the mechanics and visual impact of stop-motion animation. Her film focuses on the concept and convention of creation.
Stading is a College of Arts and Sciences senior who is working to receive her BFA in studio art with an emphasis on sculpture and ceramics. Her work explores the realm of the imagination and through her objects, gives form to seemingly impossible contexts. Her detailed sculptures bridge the concepts of “what could be” with “what is.”
