Creighton Mock Trial Teams Place Second and Third at Morningside College

Creighton University’s mock trial teams placed second and third at a competition at Morningside College, Sioux City, Iowa, Nov. 18 and 19. Individual students receiving awards at the competition included:

  • Freshman Rachael Berry, St. Louis, Mo.; sophomore Lana Zholudeva, San Ramon, Calif.; and junior Alison Prater, Apple Valley, Minn., Best Attorney Awards.
  • Junior Symone Sanders, Omaha, Neb. and Lana Zholudeva, Best Witness Awards.

The Creighton University Mock Trial Students' Association is an organization that promotes leadership, professionalism, outstanding academic achievement and high ethical standards for students, the university and the community through competitive mock trial as provided by the American Mock Trial Association. The organization allows students who are interested in courtroom procedure to express themselves creatively, develop leadership skills and prepare for a career in the legal field while enjoying opportunities for social interaction and networking.
