The Perilous Gift: St. Athanasius on the Adventure of Human Existence Topic of Lecture

“The Perilous Gift: St. Athanasius on the Adventure of Human Existence,” is the topic of the first lecture in The Doctors of the Church Lecture Series hosted by The Creighton Center for Catholic Thought. Khaled Anatolis, Ph.D., will speak at 5 p.m., Sept. 15, in the Skutt Student Center, Room 105.

The lecture is free to the public.

Anatolis is the director of the Doctorate in Sacred Theology Program and professor of Historical Theology at Boston College. He holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D., in Systematic Theology from Boston College.

He is the author of the forthcoming book Retrieving Nicaea: The Development and Meaning of Trinitarian Doctrine (Backer Academic, 2011); Athanasius. The Coherence of his Thought (Routledge: 1998 & 2004); the Athanasius volume of the Routledge Early Church Fathers series (2004); and is the editor of the forthcoming The Trinity in the Life of the Church (Baker Academic).
