Creighton University has appointed J. Chris Bradberry, Pharm.D., as the interim vice president for Academic Affairs, effective January 1, 2013. Dr. Bradberry is currently professor of pharmacy and dean of the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions. Victoria Roche, Ph.D., senior associate dean of the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, will serve as acting dean.
Dr. Bradberry has been an exemplary dean since he came to Creighton in 2003 from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He has held academic leadership positions at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and the University of Texas at Austin as well.
“I have been particularly impressed with Dr. Bradberry’s innovative leadership, acute fiscal management skills and demonstrated abilities as a consensus builder at Creighton. I am confident he brings valuable skills in this new role that will move current initiatives forward and greatly assist the incoming provost, once that selection has been made, “said Timothy R. Lannon, S.J., Creighton president.
Dr. Roche joined the Creighton faculty in 1982 and has held numerous leadership positions in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions since then, including chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, associate dean for Academic and Student Affairs, associate dean for Education and Faculty Development, and associate dean for Administration.
