Creighton University is the only Jesuit, Catholic university in the country to be a site for INROADs, Inc., a national program that identifies, recruits, coaches and trains diverse and underserved college students and matches them with companies for salaried summer internships. Opened in January 2012, the new office is housed within the University’s John P. Fahey Career Center.
“This partnership helps expand the work we do at the center with internships. At Creighton we believe internships provide invaluable work experience for students. Nearly 90 percent of our business graduates have at least one internship prior to graduation,” said Jim Bretl, career center director.
INROADs, Inc. is currently working with six company sponsors in Omaha but plans to expand those opportunities. The companies include CenturyLink, Cox Communications, First Data, First National Bank, Mutual of Omaha and OPPD.
