Creighton Students Learn University History Through Hunt with Technology

Creighton University students will have the opportunity to learn about the University’s history and win prizes during the Founders Week Student Campus Quest, which begins Monday, Feb. 6 and ends at noon on Thursday, Feb. 9.

The Quest is a virtual scavenger hunt using a cell phone application called SCVNGR. The students will answer a series of questions throughout the week about Creighton history and various sites on campus. Prizes will be awarded to the students who earn the most points.

Students can participate in the scavenger hunt with an iPhone or Droid by downloading and registering with the SCVNGR app. Students can also play by texting “creightonuniversity” to SCVNGR (728647).

Prizes include a KindleFire, Amazon Kindles, and many others. The prizes will be awarded during the Founders Feast for Students from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9, in the Skutt Student Center Ballroom.

The Creighton Students Union and the Student Philanthropy Committee are sponsoring the event. Creighton University is celebrating Founders Week, Feb 6-10. 2012.
