Looking for a chic new outfit for the holiday season? Let Chico’s help.
On Thursday, Dec. 13, at 6:30 p.m., the clothing store will host a free “Bring on the Bling” fashion show at its Shadow Lake Towne Center location, U.S. 370 and 72nd Street in Papillion.
Ten percent of the purchases made during the event, as well as sales throughout the day, will automatically be donated to the Creighton University Osteoporosis Research Center Endowment. Additionally, 10 percent of purchases made Tuesday, Dec. 11, through Saturday, Dec. 15, will go to the Research Center if the customer requests it.
The fashion show will include the latest fashions for winter and the holiday season. Refreshments will be provided and guests can enjoy head/neck massages and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a crocheted blanket, $25 Chico’s gift card, hand-crafted appetizer tray and more.
According to Susan Recker, endowment coordinator for the Osteoporosis Research Center, this is the third time Chico’s has hosted this event on the center’s behalf.
“Osteoporosis strikes one in two American women over the age of 50 and bone fractures from the disease occur in 1.5 million women each year,” Recker said. “This event is a great opportunity to get fashion ideas for the holidays while supporting an important cause.”
Creighton University established research facilities for the study of Osteoporosis in the early 1960s and founded its Osteoporosis Research Center (ORC) in 1985. Today, the center is one of five comprehensive osteoporosis programs in the U.S., providing the best patient care and state-of-the art evaluation, diagnosis, research and treatment of the disease.
For people not attending the fashion show, raffle tickets may be purchased at http://osteoporosis.creighton.edu/ (click on “Bring on the Bling”) or call Andrea Walther at 402.280.4471.
