Carol Ash has been named associate vice president for Marketing and Communications at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., responsible for the University’s overall marketing, branding and communication initiatives.
With 21 years of marketing and public relations experience – 15 of them in management – Ash most recently served as vice president and innovation director for the National Student Loan Program in Lincoln, Neb., where she was responsible for the development, branding and marketing of financial education programs for colleges and universities nationwide. She also guided marketing, branding, recruitment and customer services for the University of Nebraska’s online and distance education programs. Ash has also held leadership positions at iUniverse Publishing and Lincoln Benefit Life.
An alumna of Creighton, she graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and has a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Ash has received numerous marketing, communication and writing awards from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), the American Business Awards and the International Webby Awards for iUniverse.com. Ash has served in leadership positions in IABC and is a member of the American Marketing Association and the ELearning Guild.
