Original Symphony to Debut During Spring Music Concert

An original symphony composed by Fine and Performing Arts chair Frederick Hanna will premier during the department’s Spring Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Sat., April 27 and at 2 p.m. on Sun., April 28 in the Lied Education Center for the Arts.

A reception sponsored by Fine and Performing Arts and Creighton University's Friends and Patrons of the Arts will follow Sunday’s performance.

“Symphony No. 2 (Shanghai),” on original composition by Hanna, will be featured during the concert, which will also include choral and instrumental performances with music from Vincent Persichetti’s “Spring Cantata” and Mozart’s “Requiem.”

Admission is free with a nonperishable food donation. All donations will go to the Siena/Francis House.
