Creighton Professor's Short Story to Appear in Anthology

Creighton University Professor of English, Dave Phillip Mullins' short story "Arboretum," originally appearing in his collection, Greetings from Below, has been selected for inclusion in the upcoming anthology, New Stories from the Southwest, Volume II.

Mullins is a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop. His work has appeared in The Yale Review, The Massachusetts Review, New England Review, Cimarron Review, Fiction, Ecotone, Folio, and Gulf Coast. He has been nominated three times for a Pushcart Prize and has received awards from Yaddo and the Sewanee Writers' Conference as well as the Silver Pen Award from the Nevada Writers? Hall of Fame. His collection of short stories, Greetings from Below, won the 2009 Mary McCarthy Prize in Short Fiction and the 2010 International Walter Scott Prize for Short Stories.
