Creighton University’s 3 Day Startup (3DS) is looking for a few good people to start a technology company over the course of a weekend, Nov. 15-17, at the Heider College of Business in the Harper Center.
Students from all over the area with a variety of backgrounds including computer science, business –graduate and undergraduate–law graphic designers, advertising and public relations are invited to participate in this exciting event.
Starting with a brainstorming session at 2 p.m. on Friday Nov. 15 to the release of a minimal prototype by Sunday night, the goal is to build enough momentum among a network of motivated people to sustain the company beyond the weekend.
At 7 p.m. on Sunday the public is invited to watch as the 3DS participants showcase the fruits of their labor delivering investor pitches and prototype demonstrations to a veteran panel of notable investors, entrepreneurs, and professors.
Panelists include Mark Hasebroock, Dundee Venture Capital, Ben Vu, Battle Bears, Dave Nelson, Secret Penguin and Karen Borchert, Phase2.
Mentors from throughout the community are volunteering their time to work with participants and help them build their companies throughout the weekend. Also, NMotion, Dundee Venture Capital, and the Halo Institute have agreed to mentor teams after the event to help them continue to develop their companies and get them into accelerators/incubators around the nation.
