Creighton University is listed as one of the nation’s ‘best value’ private institutions for delivering a high-quality education at an affordable price in Kiplinger’s Personal Finance annual rankings. Creighton is ranked 41 in the top 100 list of private universities appearing in the December issue, available on newsstands Nov.5.
The rankings are based on academic quality and affordability—with quality accounting for two-thirds of the total. The colleges exemplify the attributes parents and students look for in higher education, including small class sizes with engaged faculty, a good freshmen retention rate and a high-four year graduation rate.
“Combining a quality education with the right price tag is a challenge. We pride ourselves on keeping Creighton affordable for all---making a Creighton education available to those who deserve it,” said Timothy R. Lannon, S.J., Creighton president.
The academic achievements of the 2013 freshman class place Creighton among the top 10 private universities in the Midwest with more than 4,000 undergraduates and among the top 50 national private Catholic universities.
More than 90 percent of Creighton students receive some form of financial aid.
