Creighton Alumni Serving as Jesuit Volunteers

Eight recent Creighton University graduates will dedicate the next year to working as Jesuit Volunteers with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) Northwest. These Creighton alumni join a total of 148 Jesuit Volunteers serving 21 areas in five states. 

  • Katie Baker, BSN’13, Mission, Kan., at Yakima Neighborhood Health in Yakima, Wash., is a public health nurse serving pregnant women on Medicaid.
  • Kimberly Berberich, BS’13, Downer’s Grove, Ill., at St. Margaret’s Shelter in Spokane, Wash., is a resident coordinator at a women and children’s shelter.
  • Annie Hagerty, BS’13, St. Louis, at L’Arche Spokane in Spokane, Wash., serves as an assistant at L’Arche, working with adults with disabilities.
  • Molly McCarville, BA’13, Casa Grande, Ariz., at Catholic Community Services in Juneau, Alaska, is a case manager/child behavioral health advocate.
  • Anna Osborn, BSEVS'12, Omaha, Neb., at Hood River Middle School/Gorge Grown Food Network in Hood River, Ore., works with a permaculture program in a middle school and coordinating farmer’s markets.
  • Brigid Richter, BS’13, Omaha, Neb., at Full Life Care in Seattle, Wash., works with people with MS and brain trauma that are low-income.
  • Corbin Weaver, BA’13, Sheldon, Iowa, at Columbia Valley Community Health in Wenatchee, Wash., does health care outreach.
  • Kayla Zobel, BA’12, Ida Grove, Iowa, at Recovery Café in Seattle, Wash., works at a drop-in day shelter with the majority of people there suffering from addiction, homelessness and mental illness.

The Jesuit Volunteer Corps volunteers are located in various urban and rural areas. They are challenged to live simply and work for social and ecological justice in a spiritually supportive environment.

JVC Northwest is an independent, nonprofit organization that recruits, places, and supports volunteers living in communities across the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
