Lesley Hazleton, author of the book The First Muslim, which takes a new look at the life of Muhammad, will speak at Creighton University at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, in the ballroom of the Mike and Josie Harper Center on the Creighton campus.

A reception will be held prior to the presentation beginning at 6 p.m. Her lecture titled, ďA Tourist in the Koran: Lesley Hazleton Presents the First Muslim,Ē is $10 for the general public and $5 for students and senior citizens.

Hazleton is a British born American who has spent years reporting in Jerusalem and New York City. She has been published numerous times in highly regarded publications including The New York Times, TIME magazine and The New Republic. She also authored many books focusing on religion and politics in the Middle East.
