Creighton University is hosting "Move it or Lose it" a 5K run and one mile walk to raise awareness for osteoporosis research and support the Creighton University Osteoporosis Research Center. Funds from the race, scheduled for Saturday, May 10 at Lake Zorinsky Park, will go into the Creighton Endowment for Osteoporosis Research to contribute to the Center?s research and teaching mission.

WHY: Osteoporosis leads to fractures in 1.5 million American women annually - a higher incidence than breast cancer, heart attack and stroke combined. The debilitating bone disease affects about 375 thousand U.S. men every year, too.
COST: $25 early registration (before April 26) includes a timing chip and race t-shirt; after April 26, registration will be $35
