Jesuits in East Africa topic of lecture

Fr. Orobator, S.J.The Rev. Agbonkhianmeghe Orobator, S.J., will present, “Jesuits in East Africa: Changing Lives from Francis Xavier to Pope Francis,” at 4 p.m. April 26 in the Skutt Student Center Room 105 on the Creighton University campus. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Fr. Orobator is the principal of Hekima University College, the Jesuit School of Theology in Nairobi, Kenya. As one of Africa’s leading theologians, he has authored several books on the Church’s mission in Africa, including “Theology Brewed in An African Pot” and “From Crisis to Kairos: The Mission of the Church in the Time of HIV/AIDS, Refugees, and Poverty”. He has also served as provincial of the Eastern African Province of the Society of Jesus.
