Creighton named best for vets by Military Times

Creighton UniversityFor the third straight year, Creighton University has been named a “Best for Vets: Colleges 2017” by Military Times. The rankings factor in the results of a comprehensive school-by-school survey of veteran and military student offerings and rates of academic achievement by Military Times. More than 500 colleges took part in this year’s survey.

The survey asked each university to document services, special rules, accommodations and financial incentives offered to students with military ties, as well as to describe veteran culture on campus. Data is also factored from the U.S. Veterans Affairs, Defense and Education Departments.

Creighton’s Office of Military and Veterans Affairs, created in 2014, serves 250 veterans and dependents. Its offers men and women in uniform VA education programs and financial assistance. The office also serves as a home base on campus, with a designated lounge and resource center for all veterans and active duty service members.
