Creighton lands spot on U.S. News & World Report global rankings

Following on last month’s U.S. News & World Report announcement that Creighton University achieved the 14th consecutive No. 1 ranking in the Midwest, the magazine released its 2017 Best Global Universities Rankings Oct. 24, with Creighton achieving a placement of 760 out of 1,000 schools recognized.

The universities in the rankings are spread across 65 countries. Creighton is one of 210 U.S. universities in the rankings and one of two universities representing the Big East Conference.

The Best Global University Rankings methodology takes into account 12 indicator rankings, including books, conferences, global research reputation, international collaboration, faculty paper publications and citations of faculty papers. Creighton was ranked in the top 300 for international collaboration (No. 255), percentage of total publications that are among the 10 percent most cited (No. 223) and percentage of highly cited papers that are among the top 1 percent most cited (No. 149).
