Fall 2016 enrollment at Creighton is second-highest in history

Creighton University’s fall 2016 enrollment is the second-largest in University history, coming in at 8,393, just shy of the record fall 2015 mark of 8,435.

The total includes Creighton’s full-time and part-time undergraduate students, graduate students and professional students. That breakdown looks like this:

  • Full-time undergraduates: 3,980
  • Part-time undergraduates: 224
  • Professional students: 2,457
  • Graduate students: 1,732

“As Creighton celebrates the 14th consecutive year atop U.S. News and World Report’s Midwest Regional rankings for Best Universities and Colleges, we are also pleased to report the health of our University is robust,” said Mary Chase, EdD, vice provost for enrollment. “Creighton is a respected, prestigious, engaged University and that is reflected in the consistently high enrollment numbers the University continues to experience.”

For the third year in a row, Creighton’s incoming freshman class topped the 1,000-student mark. The Class of 2019 is the largest class in school history and the Class of 2020 is the fourth-largest in the 138-year history of the University.

Creighton University is a Jesuit, Catholic university bridging health, law, business and the arts and sciences for a more just world.
