Creighton board member named vice president for mission and ministry at Marquette

Fr. KrettekCreighton University Board of Trustees member, the Rev. Tom Krettek, SJ, has been named vice president for mission and ministry at Marquette University.

“I am delighted that one of the newest members of the Creighton University Board of Trustees has been chosen for this important leadership role at Marquette,” said the Rev. Daniel Hendrickson, SJ, president Creighton University.

Fr. Krettek, who began his new role on Aug. 1, was director of the Master of Arts in Philosophical Resources program at Fordham University, and was also the provincial superior for the Wisconsin Province of the Society of Jesus from 2005 to 2011. Fr. Krettek was assistant and then associate professor of philosophy at Creighton from 1989 to 2000, and directed Creighton’s Jesuit Humanities Program from 1989 to 1997.
