Smile Miles 5K racing to offset cost of dentures for those in need

Sept. 17, Creighton’s American Student Dental Association (ASDA) will be holding its 13th annual Smile Miles 5K Run/Walk, an event to raise funds and awareness for those in need of dentures but unable to afford the costs.

Registration for the race is $20. The funds raised from the race defray some of the costs associated with dentures. Creighton’s third- and fourth-year dental students are able to deliver high quality dentures and care to those in need.

The race starts at 9 a.m., at Miller’s Landing Park, 151 Freedom Park Road, on the Omaha Riverfront. There will be free water, breakfast and chocolate milk for all running or walking participants.

Registration for the race can be found here. Registration is due by Sept 16.
