A statement from Creighton University President the Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, SJ to faculty, staff, and students

Creighton archOn Friday, I communicated with you regarding the incident on Tuesday, April 25, in which a student reported finding a note containing hateful and discriminatory language taped to his residence hall door. I remain very troubled by this incident, which is not at all representative of the inclusive environment we value as a University.

Our investigation, which began immediately after the incident was reported last week, remains active, and you can be helpful: I strongly encourage you to immediately report – confidentially if you prefer – any information regarding the individual or individuals responsible for this message to

  • the Office of Residence Life (402-280-2717),
  •  or the Public Safety office (402-280-2104).

All forms of discrimination or discriminatory harassment violate our Catholic, Jesuit principles and values and will not be tolerated.
