Visiting Chinese students prepare to say farewell to Creighton with gala event

For three months, Creighton University has played host to students from eight Chinese universities, exchanging ideas and cultural touchstones with the visitors.

Now, as the Chinese students prepare to say good-bye, the students have organized a farewell gala to show their appreciation for Creighton and to engage the University community in different elements of Chinese culture.

The Chinese Farewell Gala honoring the Creighton Rehabilitation International Summer Program (CRISP) and Creighton Medicine International Summer Program (CMISP) will take place July 27 in the Hixson-Lied Auditorium in the Harper Center, 602 N. 20th St. The reception will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by performances beginning at 6 p.m.

Among the performances will be demonstrations of traditional Chinese dance, martial arts and instrumental music.

This celebratory event is free and open to the Creighton community.
