Welcome!

The Reinert-Alumni Library is pleased to offer Creighton students enrolled at a distance the same privileges accorded to our residential students. We make every effort to overcome obstacles presented by distance for those with a valid ID from Creighton University Card Services.

Get Help

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have a question! You can phone, email, chat, or text us during regular hours (CST). The Library's Research Toolbox is also available for tutorials, tip sheets, and other tools to help you.

Find Books and Articles

Finding books, articles, and other sources is easy with JaySearch, Creighton's new library search engine. JaySearch is designed to be simple and intuitive, but don't hesitate to contact us if you have trouble.

We also encourage you to explore the Research Guides. The Research Guides include subject databases and other resources for each academic area, plus contact information for the librarian who specializes in that field.

Get Books and Articles

JaySearch includes thousands of e-books, and we can deliver books in hard copy to distance students outside the Omaha metro area free of charge. Please allow 1 week, or longer if we must find the book outside our collection.

Please return books by their due date using the postage-paid mailer in which they arrive. We cannot supply textbooks. You will be billed for books that are not returned (see Borrow and Renew).

You may also encounter articles that are not available online. Please Browse eJournals by title to make certain, but if the article you need is unavailable we can send it to you at no charge, usually within 4-6 days.

Other Libraries

As a distance student, remember that you may have access to library services and resources in your local community. In addition to the Reinert-Alumni Library, you are also served by the Health Sciences Library and the Law Library. You may choose which library to contact based on your needs.
