New Federal Award Recipient Meetings
Upon receipt of a new federal grant award Grants Administration staff in conjuction with the Office of Grants Accounting request a meeting with the Principal Investigator and their administrative support staff to review the following:
- terms and conditions of the new award
- roles and responsbilities of the Principal Investigator, Grants Administration, and Grants Accounting
- regulatory requirements related to the new award
New Faculty Meetings
The Office of Grants Administration requests a meeting with all new faculty to obtain information regarding their research interests and to explain the process of submitting a research proposal at Creighton University. We also provide an introduction to the services Grants Administration offers during the preparation of a grant proposal and throughout the life of the grant award.

The Offices of Grants Administration and Grants Accounting will present a joint Grants Management Seminar for all faculty, staff and administrators involved in research grants and contracts. The seminar will cover topics such as:
- proposal development
- budget development
- application routing and submission
- regulatory and compliance requirements
- award negotiation and acceptance
- management of grant or contract funds
- time and effort reporting
- submitting programmatic and financial progress reports
- reconciliation and closeout of a grant or contract.
Who should attend?
All Principal Investigators with a current grant or contract or a pending submission, faculty and staff anticipating a future grant or contract submission, or anyone interested in learning about the Grants Management Process.
