Clinical and Translational Research Grants fund clinical and translational research in focused areas. Clinical Research covers all studies of diseases and trials of treatments that take place in human subjects. Translational Research describes the steps between a fundamental discovery and its application in clinical medicine, including the identification and development of biomarkers, development of therapeutics, genotyping, proteomic, metabolomic or imaging approaches of diseases for phenotyping diseases that lead to more accurate prognostic methodologies or guide targeted interventional procedures. Clinical and Translational Research Grants are for $60,000 over a one-year project period.
Eligibility:
- Either full-time Creighton University Health Sciences tenured or tenure-track faculty or Resident Assistant Professors are eligible to submit proposals for this award.
- Principal Investigators cannot be funded concurrently by other LB692, LB595 or HFF support mechanisms.
- Preference will be given to Early-stage Investigators (within 10 years of their highest degree and/or clinical residency/fellowship) and New Investigators (never funded, as the PI, by LB692, LB595 or HFF).
Budget Restrictions: The following are not allowable expenses: PI or co-investigator salaries, travel.
