The Creighton University IACUC requires that a Protocol Application for Animal Use be submitted and approved prior to the use of animals in research or teaching.  All personnel working on an animal protocol must complete IACUC Certification prior to submitting an IACUC application.

Additional Guidance for Preparing Protocol Applications

The following materials are provided to assist investigators in the preparation of protocol applications and revisions. They represent commonly accepted practices in animal care and use and follow federal guidelines. These guidelines may be updated at any time to reflect changing standards of practice.

Research Personnel are expected to report any known or suspected noncompliant conduct related to research or sponsored program activities conducted and/or approved through Creighton University. The confidential Research Compliance Hotline (402-280-3200) is available for any individual who wishes to remain anonymous and/or has found other available reporting mechanisms to be ineffective. Research Personnel may also address their research compliance-related questions or concerns to Director of Research & Compliance at 402-280-2511.
