Load and Apply Settings

Load and Apply Settings

In acquiring images across multiple experiments, it is often crucial to maintain consistency in both how the data was acquired.

The 2 methods that you can use to apply settings from previous images are:

1.) Load up a previous experiment and right-click on the image whose settings you want to use. Go to Properties and click on that. This brings up the metadata report on the image. At the bottom of the metadata report is a button marked Apply Settings. Clicking on this button will load up many of the setting pertinent to that image.

The second method is at the bottom of the experiment tab, there are several buttons, one which is labeled apply. Clicking on this button will load up many of the setting pertinent to the highlighted image.

These parameters are applied from an image file when one of these options are selected

  • Laser status, including multiphoton (assuming multiphoton laser is on)
  • Multiphoton gain and offset
  • All detector settings (including acquisition type for HyDs - Standard vs Photon-Counting)
  • Pinhole diameter

These parameters are NOT applied

  • Bit depth (important)
  • Format (pixel-by-pixel size)
  • Speed
  • Zoom
  • Number and type of average
  • Stage position
  • Z-axis position
  • Stack parameters
  • Tile parameters
