Whether you were a part of CU Habitat or not during your time at Creighton, your continuing connection to the Creighton community is important to us. This academic year, CU Habitat will be launching a new initiative to increase alumni involvement in our organization. As people graduate from college, move into the work place, start families, travel to different areas of the country, and so on, we know that service can offer the reflective break one needs from the hectic daily grind. Regardless of if you still live in the Omaha area, we hope you'll take advantage of our developing opportunities. Have an idea we've missed? Let our Vice President, Jessica Arndt, know right away!
Donation and Fundraising Partnerships
Does your new place of employment have a charity or service commitment? If not, would you like to start one? Every year, we have many area Omaha corporate donors whose help is instrumental in completing the house successfully. All donors are featured on a billboard at the build site that exhibits the invaluable contributions we receive from many alumni-led businesses. This year, we are looking to host a variety of creative fundraising events, such as runs, dinners, concerts, etc. If you or your new employer would like to partner with CU Habitat or sponsor an event, contact our Treasurer, Andrew Chida, and he'll set something up.
If you're in town for a class reunion, are an Omaha resident, or have several alumni friends in the area, we'd be more than happy to reserve a date for an Alumni Build. These special builds offer a unique opportunity for 10-15 friends to come together again for a common service cause. Your build will be facilitated by a general contractor and one of our executives and we'll provide all the tools and transportation that you'll need. It's a great opportunity to meet up with old friends and make a lasting contribution to the house at the same time!
