VIP Center | We are here for you.

Creighton is the only university in the state of Nebraska to invest in two, full-time prevention and victim-support advocates. These highly experienced staff members – within our Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) Center – provide confidential and comprehensive advocacy to first- and second-hand survivors of sexual violence, dating and domestic violence, stalking, harassment and more. The center also works to prevent these incidents through a variety of proactive education and awareness programs.

Office of Equity and Inclusion | We welcome you.

The University also employs a full-time Title IX investigator in our Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI). This office and its staff work to bridge resources, reduce obstacles and foster an environment that is welcoming and inclusive to all Creighton community members.

The OEI investigates complaints under the Harassment, Discrimination, Sexual and Relationship Misconduct Policy. These investigations are thorough, prompt and equitable, and are typically completed within 30 working days. Both parties have access to a Process Navigator to assist with the investigative process, and both receive notifications in writing, including the final decision, and have the ability to appeal. There are a number of checks and balances in this process.

Creighton also requires that all faculty and staff with supervisory or leadership responsibilities or responsibilities related to student welfare report issues of sexual violence, discrimination and discriminatory harassment to the OEI. The online form is available here.

Office of Public Safety | We protect and engage with you.

Creighton’s Office of Public Safety is the primary responder in cases of emergency, and offers safety and crime prevention resources to students, faculty and staff – including campus emergency call stations and free officer escort services. The office is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week year-round. Our officers patrol academic and resident buildings, parking lots and outlying areas of campus on foot, on bicycle and in vehicles.
