Student Employee of the Year recognition program

Jacob Webb is the 2009 Student Employee of the year! 

 

Jacob (Jake) is a Senior in the College of Business.  He has been employed in the Skutt / Harper Student Centers since 2005.  His job duties include:

  • event management, which includes set up and tear down of events in both the Skutt and Harper Student Centers. 
  • building manager, which includes meeting and greeting clients, customer service, communication with administrative staff and building security. 
  • building manager coordinator, which includes all the duties of building manager as well as scheduling all the student managers.

Jake developed a complete building managers guide for both buildings.  He also developed a survey to refine building training modules. 

Nominating supervisor Eric Yarwood said " Jake was the first student worker I hired when I came to Creighton in 2005.  He is the rare student who is able to work many hours a week while taking a full load of classes and still have good grades.  In the period of time he has worked for me, I think he missed one day of work due to illness. "
