Cedora Barnett, Retention Coordinator

Cedora is the Coordinator for Multicultural Students Retention and Initiatives in the Creighton Intercultural Center (CIC). She is a native of Omaha, Nebraska and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Native American Studies from Creighton University in 2007.

Cedora returned to Creighton as an AmeriCorps member in the fall of 2013, where she served a one year service term in Creighton's Student Support Services (SSS) office.  At the end of her term she was invited to join the SSS team as a full-time staff member.

Most recently, Cedora made the transition to the CIC where she oversees Native American, Asian and Pacific Islander retention efforts as well as the Markoe Leadership Program.  She is currently the staff moderator for the Native American Association and actively supports Gamma Delta Pi American Indian Sorority Inc. Cedora is excited to bring her passion for inclusion, supporting students, cultural competency, and (almost equally important) all things Harry Potter to the CIC.
