WHAT IS CREIGHTON'S PHILOSOPHY ABOUT LIVING ON CAMPUS?
Creighton is committed to providing an outstanding community experience through its class-year housing structure. All new students are highly encouraged to live on campus during their years at Creighton. Living on campus with peers from so many different backgrounds in a community setting can be a tremendous asset to your educational experience. At Creighton, Freshmen and Transfer students receive a high amount of attention and support. To help provide this support, we cluster the newest students in the residence halls to help create long-lasting friendships and community. This clustering leads to some halls being all First-Year Freshman, and in others just a floor or two. Sophomores are also housed in clusters in an effort to help support students through the transition of no longer being "new" to college. Again, this leads to some halls being only Sophomores. This housing philosophy is intended to slowly give students who live on campus more freedom, while encouraging more accountability and responsibility. For more information on our housing philosophy, please refer to the Department of Residential Life and Housing Mission Statement.
