2013 Home of the Cortina Community
The Deglman community welcomes you!
Celebrating the only all female hall on campus, Deglman provides a warm and welcoming community for freshman students at Creighton. Located right next to the Brandeis Dining Hall in the middle of campus, we create a great environment that allows our women to participate in unique programs that help to make our community become our home on campus.
What is in our community?
Deglman is a traditional style hall with 2 women per room and a shared community lounge and bathroom in the middle of each floor. To help make this place feel more like home, we have a large basement that serves as the hangout space for our students with a big screen television, a newly updated kitchen equipped with the pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment to make tasty treats, a computer lab with printer access and a laundry room. At our front desk, students can checkout movies and games. We are also located just a short walk from St. Johnís Parish, the Skutt Student Center, and the Kiewit Fitness Center.
Working with Girls, Inc. since 1993, Deglman has the longest-standing community partner relationship of all our residence halls. Students have a great time interacting with girls both at the Girls, Inc. site and by engaging them in the CU community by bringing them to Christmas at Creighton and a CU Womenís Basketball. This is a great opportunity to not only have some fun but also serve as positive role models within our greater community. For more information about our community partner, check out the Girls, Inc. website.
Eileen B. Lieben Center for Women
The Lieben Center for Women office is housed in the basement level of Deglman Hall. Providing fun and informative events including a book club, the center serves as a great resource for women and men on campus. For more information about programs and the center, please check out the Lieben Center hompage.
With love from the Deglman community - we think you'll like it here!
