Luz Minerva Colon-Rodriguez, Assistant Director
Luz Minerva Colon-Rodriguez is the newest addition to the Office of Multicultural Affairs. A native of Guayama Puerto Rico, Luz comes to Creighton from Massachusetts were she has lived most of her life. Luz earned her Bachelorís degree at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA (2005) and her Masterís in Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of Connecticut (2010).
After graduating from the College of the Holy Cross in 2005, Luz worked at Centro Las Americas and the South Worcester Neighborhood Improvement Corporation both local non-profits in Worcester, MA as an administrator. In 2007 Luz returned to the College of the Holy Cross as the Assistant Director in the Office of Multicultural Education where she worked with the Multicultural Student Organizations, coordinated the Passport and Odyssey Programs for incoming freshman, and established the Sister to Sister Collaborative for ALANA and International students, faculty, and staff.
Joining her in Omaha is her husband, Jose L. Rodriguez who is studying law at Creighton University.
Luz actively participates in the Omaha community through:

- African American Achievement Council, OPS
- Native American Achievemnt Council, OPS
- Mentor in the South Omaha Community Cares Program
