The Fr. John P. Markoe, S.J. Leadership Program is a four year program that offers Diversity Scholarship recipients the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and to become leaders at Creighton University. Markoe Leadership students reap the benefit of a strong support network. Markoe Leadership Program participants will engage in a variety of activities on and off campus to explore leadership models, especially those that pertain to multicultural and Jesuit values. A professional staff member from the Office of Multicultural Affairs will serve as your coach for academic, personal, or financial concerns. Multiple coaching sessions are encouraged but at least two sessions per semester are expected, usually in the beginning of a semester and shortly after mid-term grades are posted. The Career Center will work closely with Markoe Leadership students to prepare resumes, locate internships, prepare for interviews, and research graduate and professional programs. Markoe Leadership participants may include this leadership honor and activity in their resumes. Recommendation letters for graduate, professional school and employment can be obtained upon request.
