Alpha Phi President:
Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Loyalty, and Chacacter Development
These are the six values that inspired the ten women whom founded Alpha Phi in 1872 at Syracuse University, New York. These exceptional women, three of whom are in the Who's Who in America, established Alpha Phi with the mission of being a sisterhood of outstanding women supporting one another in lifelong achievement.
Chartered at Creighton University in Spring 2012, Alpha Phi is highly active on campus and strives to serve Creighton's campus and the community.
Women's heart health is Alpha Phi's philanthropy. In 1956 Alpha Phi became one of the first National Panhellenic Conference sororities to establish a foundation, the Alpha Phi Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to advancing leadership development, encouraging academic excellence, improving women's heart health, supporting sisters in need and educating about the value of philanthropy.
Some of the accomplishments by the Alpha Phi Foundation are scholarship and the Forget Me Not Fund. Alpha Phi has a deep belief in education for women, awarding them with scholarships in all stages of their education. Also Alpha Phis are sisters for life, therefore the foundation supports one another through every life stage helping sisters in times of need.
Alpha Phi's colors are silver and bordeaux. The flowers of Alpha Phi are the forget-me-not and the lily of the valley and symbol is the ivy leaf
Developing life long friendships, and establishing solid values are the priorities of our sisterhood. Alpha Phis strive to live by our motto, "Union Hand in Hand" in our words and actions. Our objective is to always promote growth of character, unity of feeling, and sisterly affection.
