Sisterhood, friendship, loyalty and pride are found daily in the lives and actions of the women of Delta Zeta. Founded in 1902 at Miami University, Delta Zeta is proud to be one of the largest international sororities, with over 160 chapters in the United States and Canada. Our flower is the killarney rose; our colors are rose and green; our jewel is the diamond; our mascot is the turtle.

Our purpose in Delta Zeta is to enrich our member's college years, our campus, our community, and beyond. We strive to excel in the areas of academic achievement, philanthropy, community service, campus involvement, spiritual growth, leadership development, and social success. Some of our academic programs include a private study room at the Delta Zeta house, awarding roses to women who receive an academic GPA of a 4.0 or above, and our Breakfast of Champions.

Delta Zeta's national philanthropies support the speech and hearing impaired. We share partnerships with the Starkey Hearing Foundation and Paul Newman's Painted Turtle Camp. Every fall we sponsor "Turtle Tug", a tug-o-war over a pool of green Jell-O, where we raise money for our national and local philanthropies. In addition, we participate in events such as serving meals at local community shelters, preparing gift baskets for families at Christmas, and involvement in other Greek philanthropies.

Delta Zeta's social calendar is always filled with exciting events such as themed date parties, mixers with fraternities, semi-formal in the winter and our annual Rose Formal in the spring.  Our chapter also values the importance of sisterhood. Some of our sisterhood activities include a fall and spring retreat, our annual Thanksgiving Dinner, bowling with our new members, and our Death by Chocolate event.

Being a Delta Zeta means finding a place where you belong, developing scholastically, morally, and socially, and being an accomplished woman on Creighton's campus. This is apparent not only in our sorority, but also in our roles on campus. Our women are involved in a number of other campus organizations including: Panhellenic Council, CSU, Residence Life, Welcome Week, Creighton Athletics, Campus Ministry, and many more. All members of our Delta Zeta chapter take pride in our organization. Over the years, Delta Zetas have found the true meaning of friendship and the real experience of sisterhood that is the spirit of Delta Zeta. It is a place full of enrichment, with traditions and bonds that our members carry with them for a lifetime.
