Kappa Kappa Gamma President:
Logan Goldberg
Chartered at Creighton University in the Spring of 2005, Kappa Kappa Gamma is one of the youngest yet largest Greek organizations on campus. Kappa was founded in 1870 at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois, making Kappa one of the oldest women’s Greek letter organizations in existence today. This Tradition of Leadership drives our Fraternity towards the pursuit of things higher and nobler and all things that are fine in life, thought and character. Kappa has a commitment to Service, Leadership, Scholarship, and Sisterhood.
As Creighton’s community rests upon these four pillars, so does Kappa. We are partnered nationally with Reading is Fundamental; the world’s largest literacy organization. The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation supports its members through merit and need-based scholarships, emergency aid, and educational programming. Nearly $1 million in scholarships and aid were provided to Kappa members last year alone. Our chapter is just one of our 135 chapters that span the United States and Canada. Eta Iota is most closely supported by a booming Omaha Alumnae Association; one of approximately 350 Alumnae Associations that span the globe.
Our chapter has recently adopted a new community parter, the Children's Respite Care Center, and hosts a variety of philanthropic activities including a chili feed in the fall and Kickball for Kids in the spring.
Kappa can provide a welcoming “home away from home” for any woman who wants to pursue new avenues, challenge conventional wisdom, and seek a leadership organization whose main goal is the success of each individual member. Members of Kappa can support each other and learn about themselves while participating in philanthropic endeavors, social events, academic pursuits, and leadership opportunities.
