The Clinical Skills Club was founded around the idea to augment first and second year medical education at Creighton University. The club is centered on the spirit of Magis, a Jesuit ideal meaning "More" in relation to education excellence. The objective of this club is to excel beyond what is already exceptional instruction in the basic sciences at the School of Medicine, and provide "more" in the way of hands-on learning and clinical understanding. Through the use of simulation models, the attending physician, nurse, and club members provide participating students with the opportunity to practice clinical skills in a low stress environment. By integrating pathology, physiology, and anatomic knowledge with clinical applications, our students receive a dynamic educational experience that improves concept retention.
